Culver City

An incorporated city within a city, Culver City was established in 1917 by Harry Culver and its first ads advertised "All Roads Lead to Culver City" highlighting the central nature of its location. It still holds true today and it now offers its own highly-rated school district, CCUSD, and its own police and fire department. Culver CIty, known as Screenland due to it's ties to the Culver Studios (formerly MGM) and Sony, has also lately been referred to as Streamland as it's become the streaming content capitol of the world as the home of Apple, Amazon, HBO studios and TikTok. Culver City has a downtown area that has charming outdoor cafes, movie theaters and The Kirk Douglas Theater and it has become a very popular destination within Los Angeles. It is also known for having many parks and neighborhoods that were developed around the parks making it a popular place for families. Some popular neighborhoods within Culver City include Carlson Park, Culver Crest, Veteran's Park, Lindberg Park, Blair Hills and Sunkist Park. Some popular restaurants include Akasha, Margot, Cafe Vida, Simonette, and Roberta's Pizza amongst many others. The Baldwin Steps are a popular destination for exercise and the Park to Playa trail connects Culver City to The Kenneth Hahn Park! It is also home to the new Culver Steps with retail, restaurants and the new Erewhon and the 51,413 sq ft Whole Foods Market on La Cienega in Culver City. There are many reasons to love Culver City!
